Borrowing Procedures

1. Only registered persons with borrowers cards will be allowed to borrow materials from the Library.

2. Library Collections that are not on loan are appropriately marked. Short loan materials can be borrowed overnight.

3. No user shall take a book out of the Library unless it is properly issued to him / her at the issue desk. All persons leaving the library must show all books, e.t.c., in their possession to the security staff at the exit.

4. Fines shall be charged for late return of books borrowed at a rate to be determined from time to time.

5. The Librarian shall have the right to recall a book on loan. These should be returned immediately and fine shall be charged for failure to return such books within 4 days from the date of such recall.

6. The Librarian shall have the authority to demand any or all books borrowed at any time.

7. Loaned items shall not be transferred from one borrower to another, but must be returned to the Library for re-issuing.

8. Theft cases, detected by the security machine or security personnel, shall be dealt with in accordance with college rules and regulations.
